What does printing on wood look like?
Images on Wood Prints are printed directly onto the yellow base wood surface. Knot holes, filled knot holes, filled nail holes and the natural grain of the wood will accept the dye differently. This will result in a beautiful natural wood printed product, but may have natural imperfections and will not be comparable to an image printed on paper. Therefore we cannot consent to remakes or issue credits solely for these natural characteristics of the product.
What will the wood grains look like?
Since Fine Art Wood Prints are printed on real wood, wood grains will never look identical. The look and direction of the wood grains will vary from piece to piece.
Can I match the color in Fine Art Wood Prints to photographic Prints?
No, the unique nature of this product makes it impossible to color match traditional photographic Prints. However, for the closest possible match, select the White Base finishing option.
What do you use to clean Fine Art Wood Prints?
You can use a soft cloth or feather duster. We recommend that you do not use chemicals, cleaners, or abrasive cloths on this substrate.
Can I order a custom size?
Custom sizes are not available at this time.
Is my image printed on the sides?
No, the image is only printed on the face of the wood.
What type of wood makes up this product?
Fine Art Wood Prints are made of a maple frame with a birch top.
