Coating Options
We offer two different types of coating for press-printed items. If printing on Smooth paper, you can select from either our Gloss or UV Coating options. Pearl, Linen, and Watercolor can be UV-coated only. Both Gloss and UV-coating add protection to your press-printed pieces, however, they differ in how they look. Gloss coating provides the highest level of shine and is applied evenly to press paper, resulting in a smooth top surface. UV Coating also adds a layer of sheen, however, the coating follows the contour of toners on the page. In areas of high toner density, there is a higher degree of shine.
